Who Can go on the Trek?
Trekking to Everest Base Camp is certainly not an easy job. It is an effort demanding high altitude trek but is doable by people with good fitness level. The first thing you should understand is that the trip involves the risk of Altitude sickness. Another fact is that you have to trek several days up and down the mountain wilderness. So, you certainly need a good fitness level and strong determination to do it. With good planning and preparation and careful execution of walking pace on the trail can comfortably take you to the destination. Keep yourself fit and prepare yourself mentally for Everest base camp trek and the adventure is for you.
After your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu, Nepal Master Himalaya representative will be there for your warm welcome who will help you to transfer to the hotel, Introduce your trekking guide. In the afternoon we will explore the tourist colorful market Thamel Bazaar down Town. The evening will be for well come dinner with Master Himalaya team at Thamel.
From today we start our Everest Base Camp trek. After breakfast, we take an early flight to Lukla, from where we start your trek. The flight to Lukla (35 mins). In Lukla we meet our remaining team members. After then we start out short trekking today's destination phakding following Koshi River "River of milk". Overnight stay will be in tea house.
After breakfast, today we trek approx. 6 hours to namche bazzar. the route follows Dudh Koshi river through many suspension bridges. On the way inspiring glimpse of Mt. Everest right up next Nuptse-Lhotse ridge. After three hours through beautiful pine forest finally reach to the administrative village Namche Bazzar, overnight in tea house.
This day for acclimating in namche bazzar. stay active and roaming instead of being lazy. Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) and health experts recommend to stay at least one extra night. Namche Bazar has ATMs, cyber, cafés, bakery, colorful market each Friday evening and Saturday morning. We also hike up the Syangboche Airport near the Everest View Hotel.
The trek continues along the Dudh Koshi with magnificent views of the mountains. We’ll have trekked to an altitude of 3,860m upon reaching Tengboche. Inside the monastery are fabulously sparkling wall hangings, a 20-foot sculpture of Buddha. The group will be taken to observe a prayer ceremony either in the evening or in the morning dependent on the day’s trek.
From Tengboche, the trekking trail drops to Debuche, passes another electrifying suspension bridge on the Imja Khola, and trek up to Pangboche almost thousands of mani walls. Our uphill trek continues, taking us to the quaint traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche with its admirable views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam.
This is another acclimatization day to ensure that your body has fully adapted to the altitude and thinner air. There are many options for day hikes including to the base of gorgeous Ama Dablam Peak and the Chhukung valley. Trekkers can also hike to the base of Nangkartshang Peak, or climb to a reasonable altitude for breathtaking views of Makalu, Lhotse, Chalotse, Ama Dablam and Tawoche Peaks. The Nangkartshang Monastery, another atmospheric monastery of the region is also a popular day hike destination. Hiking up the Imja River to the small summer settlement of Chhukung gives us great views of Island Peak, Lhotse and Ama Dablam Peaks and fluted ice walls flanking the Amphu Lapcha Pass. Your trekking guide will be happy to discuss the best option for you dependent upon your fitness, interests and time available.
We start our trek with a gentle climb out of Dingboche, and contour along the trail through yak grazing lands and alpine vegetation to reach Dughla. En route, we shall have a wonderful panoramic view of the mountains including the Tawoche, Cholatse and the unique and beautiful Ama Dablam. Further along the trail there is a short yet steep hike to Thokla Pass (4830m) passing the line of memorials at the summit of the pass, clad with prayer flags, dedicated to the mountaineers who have lost their lives during expeditions to Everest. The trail now is on lateral moraines of the Khumbu glacier offering unforgettable views of Nuptse, Lhotse, Lhotse Shar and several other snowy peaks. Beyond the Thokla Pass, we will reach Lobuche, surrounded by verdant alpine scenery. Don’t miss the breathtaking sunset from Lobuche as you spend a night here before your final destination.
At the right side, you look over the Khumbu Glacier, an enormous tongue of ice which marches down the slopes of Everest. We reach Gorak Shep for lunchtime and trek to Base Camp in the afternoon. During spring, there will likely be expedition teams about to attempt the summit. The view of Khumbu Icefall from Base Camp is spectacular.
Early morning we climb to Kala Pattar "the Black Rock" located at (5545 m) and marked by a tangle of prayer flags. At this viewpoint one of the most admirable views on earth, you have a 360-degree panorama of Himalayan giants from Pumori and Lobuche West to Nuptse, Lhotse, and Everest. We make a quick descent to Gorak Shep and have hot breakfast, and then trek down to Pheriche.
We are now heading back down to the oxygen-rich air, where any effects of the higher altitudes will disappear. We start our trek out of Pheriche by a short climb and then descent to Imja River before joining the classical Everest Base Camp Trail. The trail passes through rhododendron forests, smaller settlements such as Somare, crossing over several suspension bridges to Pangboche. We rejoin the Musk Deer trail to reach Tengboche.
After breakfast, The trek continues along the Dudh Koshi with magnificent views of the mountains. We’ll have trekked to an altitude of 3,440m upon reaching Namche Bazzar. Namche Bazar has ATMs, cyber, cafés, bakery, colorful market each Friday evening and Saturday morning.
Today we shall have a longer descent to Lukla, the endpoint of our trek. A last chance to view the world’s greatest peaks – Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and others. Starting with a steep descent to Larja Dobhan, we leave Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo and contour through the dense forests, culturally rich villages, lush hills and valleys, over several suspension bridges, past ancient chortens, monasteries and Mani walls, and other natural wonders to reach Lukla. Time to pack our bags, shop for any souvenirs and celebrate our successful adventure in the Everest region.
After breakfast, we fly back to Kathmandu about 35 mins. After your Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to the hotel. After long trek, you may tired you will have nice SPA and massage available in kathmandu which are the extra applicable Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.
