Trishuli River Rafting is an adventurous white water activity in Nepal. Experience the thrust of Snail’s Nose and Lady’s Delight, 2 of the several rapids that thrusts your boat and make you gasp for safety. Fear not, as highly trained guides and kayak riders follow your boat just in case the boat overturns and you find yourself in water. Helmets and Life Jackets are mandatory.
From Kathmandu, we drive towards Trishuli River for white water rafting after early morning breakfast. Once reaching the spot, change into your appropriate water costume, and wait for the water guide to arrive. Take selfies and get to know your team mates. The boat has a waterproof bucket to keep your belongings safe. However, keeping them in bags is also an option. Then you can focus more on the activity without worrying about your belongings!
White water Rafting in Nepal is considered as and exciting and brave adventure. The guides briefs safety lessons and protocols before we step into the boat. Most of this includes rowing patterns, and crouching when approaching the rapids. Trishuli River flows with full might in that region, and this has made Kurintar a favorite white water rafting spot for local and international tourists. Kayaking is also another popular option.
Once in the river, row with team and follow the command of the team leader. Add strength to everyone’s effort to row forward, backward or sideways. Crouch for safety when rapids arrive. Wipe your face as cold water splashes from underneath.
Make sure you get into the right kind of boat for a personal challenge. Some teams choose to go slow while several love the faster thrust. When the guide allows, feel free to swim in the river, or jump from a 10 ft high rock. Just remember to land straight, and you will be fine.
Trishuli River is one of the most popular destinations in Nepal for rafting. Plus it’s easily accessible from Kathmandu via Prithvi Highway. You can even complete the activity and return back to Kathmandu on the same day. However, we highly recommend spending a night at the river bank, in the tented camps. You deserve a camp overnight after such a hard work.
You can include Trishuli River Rafting easily with your trip towards Chitwan or Pokhara if you want. It’s the same route and will save you time and money.
White water rafting is one of the most popular water sport famous in Nepal, due to its high current rivers and strong rapids. Those seeking a higher challenge take on the Bhote Koshi River on the east.
