Tamang Heritage trek is a famous trekking spot in Nepal. It is one of the enormous indigenous cultural Heritage of Nepal which is Buddhism. It is a cultural trek in the Langtang region. Culture and heritage hold great importance for a country. It is the key to attracting tourists as well. This typical Tamang culture is a unique part of the Heritage of the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal. This is a golden village in Rasuwa a mountainous District 120-kilo meters north of Kathmandu.

In the Tamang Heritage trek, you can experience some of the most panoramic scenery in the country terraced farmland, forests, and the peak of Langtang Himalayas close to the border. Tamang Heritage trek is a trek in a remote village. Though it is a remote village, it has an excellent facilities regarding the toilets, water, and home-stay. The town along the paths by the Tamang people who are closely linked to Tibetans. These people are mainly Buddhists so they follow Buddhism.

The forestry is lavish with snow-capped and rhododendrons trees. The visuals of Langtang Ri and Ganesh Himal can be seen from this trek. You can see many Chortens, Monasteries and around this place. It is a new trekking route that provides natural hot springs, lakes, and wildlife. The trek starting beginning point and ending point is Syabrubesi.

Detail Itinerary


Day 1 Day 1: Arrival in TIA and transfer to Hotel

Our team will make sure you will get the warmest welcome. Our team members will come to pick it up. After picking you up, you will be transferred to Hotel. In the afternoon, there will be a short briefing about the treks. You will have dinner with our Master Himalaya trek in the evening.


Day 2 Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi:

After early breakfast, you will leave Kathmandu passes through Trishuli. Today we will only be driving for 6 to 7 hours. We will stay here tonight.


Day 3 Day 3: Trek from Syabrubesi to Gatlang village:

Today the plan is to outreach Gatlang village. It is at an altitude of 2200 meters. It is 5 hours away from Syabrubesi. As Syabrubesi is the beginning and ending point. We will start to see the Tamang community from here. After dropping for 35 minutes, we will reach Golijung the small Gurung village to have our lunch. After having lunch we will continue our journey towards Gatlang village. As we outreach Gatlang we will see the Tamang monastery which is there for centuries. We will spend our night at Gatlang.


Day 4 Day 4: Trek from Gatlang to Tatopani:

Hope you had a good sleep. After having our breakfast we will check out from the hotel, today will be the hardest day of the journey. You will see many Chortens and monasteries. After walking for several hours you will have to cross the thickest jungle. It will be an adventurous journey as you may encounter the wilds there. After reaching Tatopani you can take a hot bath there, after bathing in the hot spring you will feel relaxed and refreshed.


Day 5 Day 5: Trek to Nagthalii hill:

Our journey continues by passing through the beautiful Azaleas forest. You will see many monkeys hanging on the branch of trees, and deer roaming around the forests. Nagthali is also known as a viewpoint for admiring Mount Langtang and Ganesh Himal. It used to be a fave place for monks for meditating. After admiring the view and having fresh air we will go down to the Nagthali village and stay there overnight.


Day 6 Day 6: Trek to Briddim:

Today's journey will be longer than another journey we have made because we have to reach Thuman and then Briddhim. This place is a mixture of Tamang and Tibetan people. Following the path, you will reach the Nepal-china border. Trekking up and down the hills we will pass through the rhododendron forests. The rhododendrons around you will brighten your mood. After the long trek, you will reach Briddim. Briddim is a Tibetan village full of Tibetan culture. You can learn about the Tibetan and Tamang culture and their lifestyles. The main whole part of this journey is to know the aesthetics of the Tamang Tibetan people.


Day 7 Day 7: Trek to Syabrubesi:

The journey of the Tamang heritage has come to an end. On this day we will be heading to Syabrubesi. We will start walking through the riverside of Bhote Koshi river. We can see many alluring views of different terrace fields. Walking this path we will pass through a tiny village and then we will reach the place where we started our trip. We will spend our nights here.


Day 8 Day 8: Drive to Kathmandu:

Early in the morning, our vehicle will come to pick us up. We will have our breakfast at the hotel and pack our belongings and head toward our vehicles. The drive will be 6 to 7 hours long. We will stop at two places for lunch and Snacks. After reaching Kathmandu you will be transferred to the hotel. You can rest as it was a long drive. At night you will have your dinner and a goodnight's sleep.


Day 9 Day 9: Departure:

Master Himalaya representatives will come to see you off according to your flight time. Our representatives will pick you up and drop you off at the airport. Though the adventure ends here, we will remember the hardship and laughter we have created in this journey.
