Trip Overview

Jomsom Muktinath Trek is the religious and spiritual trek close-up by religious temple Muktinath in the Mustang region. Muktinath is one of the oldest and famous pilgrimage sites of Nepal for both Buddhist and Hindu people where it is located at the foot of the Thorong La pass (part of the Himalayas) in Mustang region, at the altitude of 3,760 meters.

Due to absent of altitude sickness trekking to this area is being popular among traveler. Though the temple is slightly identical, also it is considered as one of the eight most powerful and sacred shrines. Our trekking journey starts from the sightseeing of world heritage sites and the beautiful second largest city of Nepal ‘Pokhara’, regarded as “the gate to Annapurna Region”. After that, we will drive to Nayapool and trek towards Ulleri with admiring ethnic traditional villages, forest of orchids, several waterfall and suspension bridges. Furthermore, we will pass through renowned place Ghorepani there we can see the small shop, wooden craft and stunning Mountain range including Annapurna South and Nilgiri mountains.

Likewise, we descent to Ghasa, Kagbeni and finally reach Muktinath, designed in pagoda style where you see 108 water spouts and two ponds behind the gorgeous temple. This trail follows Kali Gandaki River, famous as the deepest George in the world, where holy water from Gandaki flows continuously and it has a strong belief that taking bath brings salvation. Thousands of people every year derive here to worship and take the spiritual path for salvation. Similarly, there will be a guide to assist you with everything. Our Jomsom Muktinath trek itinerary is around 14 days from arrival of Kathmandu to final departure. The combination of a religious temple and spiritual bath offers a great experience of this trail.
