Driving overland past the Tibetan plateau (‘Roof of the world’), you encounter a picturesque mosaic of Tibetan settlements, nomadic herdsmen, ancient monasteries, high Mountain passes, wide arid plains and awe-inspiring mountain views.
The trip begins in Lhasa where we visit Potala and Norbulingka Palaces along with other landmarks of the city. Next, drive to Shigatse and finally to Lotingri which is where the actual trek begins. In between, we also visit a couple of Tibetan landmarks like the impressive Tashilhunpo Monastery, Khumbum Stupa, Phalkot Monastery and others which showcase the rich culture and history of the Tibetans.
