Nar phu valley trek

Nar phu valley trek combines two unique villages Nar and phu. Beautiful, Unique cultures, religious and typical life define these villages. Nar phu was first explored by tilman on 1950's but until 2002 it was still closed to trekkers. Nar phu is still restricted area where you need special permit to explore which has kept this place from crowd tourist. This place is still peaceful and not many tourist have explored or visited it. This in on of the untouched place of Nepal

Doing the Nar phu trek, narrow canyons, beautiful forests, massif rock formations, yak, ancient monasteries, awesome mountain views, alpine sceneries, Kanga la pass and unique culture are attractions. this place is inherited by tibetan subculture. It is remote and hence, Tibet used to be the best option for the villagers to trade. This lead to influence their culture in the place. 

Nar phu lies north of Annapurna. Doing this trek is not an attempt of Annapurna trek but it absolutely will give you the taste of Annapurna trek aside.

Nar phu trek is wild and unexplored. It starts from Chamje going to Dharapani, Koto, Meta and then to Phu and Nar village. You you also cross the Kangal la pass towards and ngwal and to manang. Nar phu trek will give you the absolute experience of pristine valley that have settled down lost in the mountains. Their cultures and their lifestyle, different from others are worth experiencing. The views and the scenery across the trek are just breath taking. The natural formation of rocks and the centuries old monasteries across the trail will catch your eyes leaving you wanting to see more. 

During this 17 Day Nar phu trek, you will enjoy all your days fully. A day for exploration of Nar village has been maintained to explore its culture and lifestyles. The inhabitants of these villages are Bhotias meaning the people related Tibetan culture.

Fitness: This trip needs a good level of fitness, we recommend you to practice some exercises couple of months prior the trip

Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to chamje (1310m): 8-9 hours 

Day 04: Trek chamje to Dharapani (1,960m): 7-8 hours 

Day 05: Trek Dharapani to Koto (2,610m): 5-6 hours 

Day 06: Trek Koto to Meta (3,560m): 7-8 hours 

Day 07: Trek Meta to Phu valley (4,250m): 6-7 hours 

Day 08: Exploration at Phu valley (Acclimatization) 

Day 09: Trek Phu Valley to Nar Phedi (4,110m): 5 - 6 hours

Day 10: Trek Nar phedi to Nar village (4,110m) : 3-4 hrs

Day 11: Acclimatization and preparation at Nar village 

Day 12: Trek Nar to Kang La Pass (5,322m) and  to Ngwal (3,660m): 7-8 hours 

Day 13: Trek Ngwal to Manang (3,540m): 4-5 hours 

Day 14: Trek Manang to Chame (2,650m): 6-7 hours 

Day 15: Trek Chame to Chamje: 6-7 hours 

Day 16: Drive Chamje to Kathmandu: 8-9 hours
