Mount Ama Dablam is one of the most beautiful and stunning mountain in Khumbu/ Everest region. It is widely known as “Matterhorn of the Himalaya”. The name “Ama Dablam” Meaning “the mothers jewel box” comes from the glacier lying on its southwest which looks like jewel box hanging on neck.

Climbing Mt. Ama Dablam involves rock climbing and ice climbing followed by long steep snow slope to summit. Its shape like a pyramid shows climbing it involves many vertical routes too. Its vertical walls and sharp exposed ridges are one of the challenges in climbing it.
